Historically Incorrect Canooding
In the article Historically Canoodling by Stephanie Coontz is mainly about the up comings of Valentines Day. Valentine's day started by the Roman Catholic Church as a limit on sexual passion. "For thousands of years, love passion and marriage were considered a rare and usually undesirable combination." Valentines day is a day is a day to show how much you care for your lover to me. In the article it says today everyone wants so much more they want to find someone that's going to be their best friend their lover and someone that you will marry in the future. I don't think that's true, Now a days nobody really seems to think about long term relationships or getting married. Marriage rates has drastically declined since back in the day, people are having more kids than they are getting married. I think marriage is some what a waste of time, but if I do get married I would want it to be someone who's going to be my best friend and I can tell everything to. But Valentine's Day doesn't seem as special anymore. How do you think Valentines day has changed? do you think Valentines day is more special or less special?
Cyberwar
The article Cyber war by Patrica Smith is mainly about the beginnging of a cyber war. Iran has started the beginning of a cyber war by Iran attacking Saudi Aramco, "engineered computers attacks that in September intermittently took offline some of America's largest banks including Wells Fargo and PNC and disrupted the online banking websites of Capital and BB&T." This cyber war is helping other countries put virvus in the United States computers and is effecting their computers. Their was a virvus on a person who lives in New Yorks computer and the vivus shut down all of New Yorks lights. This cyber war will not be good for any body. The cyber war will attack anybodys computers and send a virvus this will invade peoples personnal space and mess up their computers. The cyberwar is also in a way a good advantage for the United States. The United States will have a more of an advantage on other countries with the cyber war because of our technology and because of the weapons we already have. Do you think the cybetr war will be an advantage for the United States ? Do you think that the United States should stop having this cyber war because other countries have better technology or do you think our technology is better so we might have the upper hand?

Is gender-based pricing fair
Is gender-based pricing fair?
In the article is gender based pricing fair by Jonathan Mintzit talks about opinions of gender based pricing. Some people think that gender based pricing is fair because in some situations is should cause less, such as giving a man a buzz cut takes a lot less time than cutting a women's hair in layers. Also cleaning a mans business shirt is a lot easier than laundering a women's blouse with ruffles or delicate buttons. And others because its been illegal in New York city to charge different prices since 19998s. People also say that if businesses want to charge different prices , they need to have legitimate, nondiscriminatory reasons for the differences. I believe that gender based is not acceptable but at the same time at moments its necessary. At circumstanes its necessary to have gender based pricing because with some things it takes more time which should make it cost more money, as if a women was to get her hair done it should cost more for her than a man because with a women it will take longer to wash her hair nd less time to wash his, and then to get a man hair done it would take less time to do his hair than hers. But under other circumstances men should be costed more. Do you think that gender based pricing is fair. Do you think that the stores that use gender based pricing should get a fine? Or should more stores have gender based pricing?

Give Lance another chance
Give Lance another Chance
In the article Give Lance another chance it talks about the story of Lance Armstrong lying to the world fans, friends, family and everybody else about winning all his races that he cheated because he was on steroids that may have caused his cancer. Armstrong lied to his fans, family, and friends and tried to apologize on the Oprah Winfrey show. People say that Armstrong shouldn't be forgiven and others think he should because he raised so much money for cancer patients and did so much good so they think he should be forgiven. I think Lance should be given another chance because he did alot of good for cancer patients and he raised a lot of money to help him these children so he should be thanked for that not punished. People think he shouldn't be forgiven because he lied and he might have caused his own cancer but I think other wise Lance Armstrong has done alot of good and he shouldn't be punished for it he helped alot of sick cancer patients no matter how he did it.
New Face of America

The New Faces of America
In the article the new faces of America by veronica Majerol it talks about the white population going down sense the 1950s and the Hispanic/Latino population rising. soon its going to be a majority-minority nation, soon the minority will be the majority nation because all of the minorities will make up the majority because the whites will soon drift off. The republicans begin reassessing positions on immigrations to get more votes from the Hispanics in the next election. I think its a good thing that the minorities are increasing and the majorities are decreasing because its time for the minorities to take charge and be in control the Caucasians have been in control for a long time now and I think its time for other cultures to take charge be in control but not take advantage of their power and treat everybody equal like how where supposed to be. Some people might take this as a bad thing but I see it as a good thing I think think will be good for our country and good for the people in it. This will make a big change in America that will probably improve our nation. how would you feel if people of color was running this country, if they had the upper hand in this world? Do you think the world will get better with a non-white having the upper hand, or do you think it would get worst?
