All Work and No play

In the article All Work and No Play: Why Your Kids are More Anxious, Depressed by Esther Entin is mainly an article about how kids playtime is becoming shortened and and is going to cost lifelong consequences for developing children. the consequences might be affects in emotional development, leading to the rise of anxiety, depression, and problems of attention and self control. More kids are spending less time outsides without parental supervision, eighty-five percent noted that their children played outdoors less frequently and for shorter periods of time than they did when they where younger. This article also states that by also not letting children play more outside is going to lead to anxiety, depression, and suicide. I think that kids not going outside is just making their child hood boring but I don't believe that its going to leave to suicide. I think that children should spend more time outside because they need a little free time so they can have fun live a little, but now a days its worst outside so you cant leave your children outside alone by their selves, but i don't think its going to cost suicide maybe anxiety and a little depression but not suicide.

  1. This is good but a bit short. Do you think parents should look for more opportunities to let their kids play freely? Or do you think this is a non-issue? 75
